Worth it? The Keel and Cow

The Keel and Cow is one of the paid restaurants on board P&O ships Iona and Arvia which you can find at Midship on Deck 8.

They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner times with typical favourites of a UK Gastropub like burgers and steak. We had breakfast and dinner here during our Northern Europe and Norwegian Fjords cruise!

For breakfast you have options like pancakes, pastries and cooked breakfast, while lunch and dinner will serve fan favourites like burgers, steaks and fish and chips.

You are able to pre-book a table at The Keel and Cow 14 days before you sail. You can also book or queue on the my holiday webpage app or go to the restaurant in person to secure a table as well.

Typically pre-booking any restaurant before you sail will offer you a discount so we’d recommend checking the P+O website before your trip.

We loved the baked camembert cheese and breads to share and the burger and steak which was seared in the kitchen and brought out on a hot rock so we could cook it how we liked.

Eating outside of normal mealtimes can reduce the rush in restaurants and dining rooms if you want a quieter experience. As this area has an open design around the main stairwell at the centre of the ship it can get a little noisy when busy.

Starters and Deserts are from £3 while mains are £5 and up. The steaks are the most expensive offerings on the menu, starting at £13.50.

Overall a tasty and affordable option for a something outside of the buffet or main dining room if you want to switch things up!
