Ice Cream Afternoon Tea at Ripples

Afternoon Tea with sandwiches, tea, cakes and scones is a fan favourite…but if you’re a lover of sweet things then Ice Cream Afternoon Tea is for you!

Before now, we’d never tried this so were eager to see how it differed from the norm.

This Afternoon Tea is served at Ripples, on Deck 8 of P&O Iona and this time it’s ALL about Ice cream!

We love a sweet treat – even more so when the weather is hot and sunny.

Luckily for our week onboard we had clear skies and warm days which made this a must have.

The Afternoon Tea is priced at £12 per person and also includes one drink.

Unlike the Traditional Afternoon Tea, priced around £17 per person, you CAN’T pre-book this.

We just turned up to see if there was space. Luckily it wasn’t too busy and we were seated quickly!

We shared this between the two of us and we think there was more than enough to share between three.

As we had the drinks package we just ordered one more drink to have with it and shared the single service.

We wouldn’t recommend buying the afternoon tea PER PERSON. We saw other diners were giving theirs away as they couldn’t finish everything!

So if you’re interested in this just get one serving and share it.

Overall we think this was worth it.

The ice creams were delicious and it does make a change especially if you’re ALL about the desert course in a meal.
